Glassware and smartwatch apps can be native and hybrid apps, just as with smartphones and other mobile devices.Native apps are programmed from kits supplied by the manufacturer and interact with the operating system with no intermediaries. They are high-performance and interface directly with the operating system with no problems, and can also use push notifications.
Other alternatives
Hybrid apps
An intermediate solution are the HTML(5) apps, or "hybrid apps". They work much like a browser but respond more slowly in interacting with device components because they do not interact directly with the native kit. Like native apps, they can be made available on the App Store, for iOS, or in the Google Play Marketplace, for Android.
